One of the problems with System Center Operation Manager console is the lack of sound alerts.
I wrote an article a while back on how to implement a sound alert for events.
Here is the link from perti.co.il - http://www.petri.co.il/play-sound-alerts-on-microsoft-system-center-operations-manager-console.htm
Enjoy
Thank you for posting this - creating sound alerts is something I am looking to implement for our operations team.
ReplyDeleteI had followed your article, but i am having trouble getting the sound alert to work. I have the script on my RMS server and if i run it via command prompt it works fine. however when i set it up as a command alert in scom nothing happens.
Is there a specific way I have to pass the machine name in a command line parameter?
currently I have my channel set up as follows:
E:\scripts\AlertSound.vbs
6s6
E:\scripts
does the Action account has admin permissions on the destination pc ?
ReplyDeleteHi, i have the same Problem, in OM Eventlog it logs: Failed to create process du to error 0x800700c1:MGroup is not a valid Win32 application.
ReplyDeleteTHis Workflow will be unloaded.
Whats wrong?
Can you help me.
OS from Client is Win7x64
OM Version is SC2012
Thanks
Michael
